Welcome to Polish Tuscany!

Pearl of the Renaissance and unique nature

The OutCider Inn holiday home lies on the beautiful Zamość countryside. Here, the Renaissance architecture of Zamość meets landscapes that bring to mind the gently rolling hills of Italian Tuscany. Check out the attractions in our near and far neighbourhood.

Nielisz Reservoir

Nielisz Reservoir, created on the Wieprz River, is an ideal place for fans of relaxing by the water. The Moczydło public beach is within a 20-minute bicycle ride along a quiet country-forest route. Clear water and the possibility of renting water equipment (scooters, sailing boats, canoes) guarantee good, active fun in the fresh air.

Roztoczański Park Narodowy

The Roztocze National Park is a real gem for nature lovers! Charming landscapes, clean air, numerous hiking and cycling trails, and unique flora and fauna. It’s the perfect place to relax, take a walk in the middle of the forests and discover unusual waterfalls and picturesque valleys.

Zamość

Zamość is a pearl of the Polish (and European) Renaissance and impresses with its architecture, unique in Poland. The beauty of the city and its monuments is perfectly complemented by restaurants, bars and cafes worth recommending, as well as art galleries and cultural events in the summer. The choice is vast and both families with children and adults in their own company will find their way here.

Szczebrzeszyn

If you don’t know Polish, you probably won’t understand what beetle is being referred to and why it has a monument…. In a nutshell, this friendly insect from a poem by the Polish writer and poet, Jan Brzechwa, breaks, or twists… tongues. Try to say “w Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie” (“in Szczebrzeszyn the beetle sounds in the reeds”) yourselves. We find it difficult to do so…
There are, of course, more attractions in Szczebrzeszyn. One of them is the firefighting museum. Worth seeing!

For cyclists

Zamojszczyzna and Roztocze are a paradise for fans of two wheels. In the immediate vicinity of the OutCider Inn alone, there are 7 communal cycle routes. In addition, the Central Roztocze Cycling Route, 190 km long, runs in the immediate vicinity. It runs from Kraśnik to the village of Hrebenne near the Ukrainian border. The trail leads through fir and beech forests, characteristic of Roztocze, through villages and towns and nature reserves.

Zwierzyniec

Founded in the 16th century, Renaissance Zwierzyniec served for centuries as the summer residence of the Zamoyski family, among others. A porcelain and soap manufactory was also located here. In Zwierzyniec the Zamojska Ordynacja found its location in the 19th century, having been relocated from Zamosc. Noteworthy landmarks include the Baroque church of St. John Nepomucen “On the Island.” In August, the Zwierzyniec brewery hosts the Summer Film Academy – it’s worth being here then!
